- Each team has successfully passed an extensive background check.
- Dog teams benefits provided by Giving Paws! Dog bandana; Dog trading cards; $25 towards agency clothing; annual background checks; Liability insurance when acting as a Giving Paws Volunteer
- Each team chooses what environments are a good fit; teams participate in ongoing training appropriate to the environment.
- Visit schedule(s) are mutually agreed upon between the Volunteer Dog Team and Doghouse (Service Location)
